Cabinet painting & refinishing in Utah County

Utah County has the youngest housing of the three counties we serve: more than half of its homes were built in 2000 or later. That means a lot of kitchens still have the cabinets the builder put in, and a lot of homeowners who like their layout but not the finish.

What Utah County homes usually need

Newer subdivisions in Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain and Vineyard are full of builder-grade cabinets in stained maple, cherry tones or early-2000s espresso. The boxes are usually sound, which is exactly when painting or refinishing makes more sense than tearing them out.

Older parts of Provo, Orem, Springville and American Fork have more 1970s–1990s homes, where oak cabinets with a golden or orange finish are common. Those can be painted (with grain filling if you want a smooth look) or refreshed with a new stain.

Provo also has more renters than owners. If you own a rental, refinishing can update a dated kitchen between tenants without the downtime of a remodel.
